It emits a vague earthy/roasted malt and caramel nose. There was a quick splash of roasted caramel which was quickly followed by an astringent/herbal coating of hops. As the beer warms up you get a slight bitter cherry sourness and tartness.

Sweet, malty with earthly caramel and lots of alcohol. It was almost perfect.
