Taste +2

There is not much to the nose except fresh sweet ginger, not the spicy kind. The taste is tangy ginger over the top of a caramel ale. There was a bit of spiciness at the start, followed by a caramel sweet middle and a spicy ending.

Aftertaste +1

It was very dry and clean, with a slight warming ginger coating. The spiciness coats the lips and mouth.

Value 0

It was nice but Granville Island's was better and spicier.

Ingame Enhancement 0

No gaming, just an office party at Smugglers Cove Pub. Glad to see lots of local drafts on tap like Driftwood and Phillips.

Overall 3/10

A good ale enhanced with strong, fresh ginger. It was delicious and unique.
